Korouoma: Frozen Waterfall Hiking Tour

About This Experience
ToTheNorth runs a straightforward, well-rated Korouoma day: a 5 km walk through the canyon taking in the frozen waterfalls, with a traditional Lappish barbecue at the halfway point.
The kit list here is different from the full-overall tours. You get snow grips that strap over your own footwear rather than a complete thermal outfit, which is fine if you have travelled to Lapland with proper winter boots and a warm jacket - and a problem if you have not. Check what you have packed before choosing this one.
Pickup and drop-off are included within a 7 km radius of Rovaniemi, which covers the city centre and most hotels but not outlying cabins. Hot drinks are served at the fire.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.8/5 by 338 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

This a must-do when you’re in Rovaniemi, so worth it for the beautiful views of the frozen waterfalls 😍

Really pleased we opted for a hike. The trail was beautiful, very scenic and moderate in terms of difficulty. The pace was relaxed, some parts were a little slower and plenty of ropes to help guide and support where the paths are a little steeper (icy) and our guide Aleks advised ‘trust your crampons’! The traditional BBQ was a well-earned rest before the short steep slope home. Very impressed with the way the park had BBQs prepared for anyone to use.
